1) Recipient submits application and $85.00 application fee. Some recipients prefer to apply in person and meet with an agency representative. Other recipients choose to have a telephone consult and mail their application. Either way you choose is fine. It is helpful to have a photo of couples that do not plan to come in to the SPCT office.
2) Recipient begins donor selection process. SPCT uses the criteria listed on your application to pull profiles for your review. We mail these profiles with color photos attached.
3) Recipient provides S.P.C.T. with feedback on profiles. You may call the office or fax or e-mail your feedback.
·It is possible that another applicant has expressed interest in the same profile. If two couples choose the same donor the couple that applied to SPCT first has priority.
·If you are not interested in any of the donor profiles in your packet you may call and request additional profiles. Please note that it will take approximately 10 days for your next packet to be sent.
4) Recipient asks additional questions, if any, concerning the selected profile. SPCT is happy to get additional non-identifying information from the donor that will help with the selection process.
5) Recipient confirms tentative donor selection with SPCT. When you have decided which profile you would like to select, SPCT will send a contract and necessary consents. The contract, consents and fee must be received by SPCT to continue to the next step.
6) Donor begins final psychological screening. Donors are screened prior to couples being shown the profiles. The more intensive psychological testing is not completed until a couple has selected the donor.
·SPCT completes more testing with each donor than any program in the country.
·Couples receive a written report and can visit with our staff psychologist concerning the donors testing results. If the donor is considered to be an unacceptable candidate after the testing is complete, the couple may select another donor. The recipients fee is non-refundable, however, no funds are lost by choosing to reject a donor with an unfavorable psychological report.
7) Donor is scheduled for appointment with recipient's physician.
8) Physician begins to coordinate cycle.
9) S.P.C.T. continues counseling with donor and managing the cycle through retrieval. SPCT case managers make sure that the donor has her medication and is clear on how to administer them. Case managers deal throughout the cycle with donors concerns, difficulties, and counseling issues.
Thank you for your interest in the Surrogate Parenting Center of Texas egg donor program. We are proud to offer one of the largest and most social work intensive programs in the country.
You may view profiles after returning your application and $85.00 application fee. It is helpful to also have a photo of you for matching purposes. We keep a list of approximately 100 donors. You may choose one of the profiles currently available or review new profiles as they are accepted by SPCT.
Our staff will coordinate all of the necessary appointments and transportation for your donor. We will make sure that she has received her prescriptions and is informed about times and procedures for administering them. We are in constant contact with your donor so that you may concentrate on preparing for the transfer.
