Behnam Service Center provides a wide variety of services for the maintenance of your rug. The most common repairs done are binding the sides, fixing the fringe and pile removal at the rug ends, reweaving holes in rugs, and spot and stain damage. The cost of restoring and repairing your rug depend on the factor of the type and extent of the repair, the type of rug being repaired, time it takes to repair and restore it as well as other factors. Please feel free to contact us about the repair and restoration of your rug and we are more than happy to answer your questions.

We at Behnam Service Center provide sealing for your rug. We know that sealing your rug helps protect it against liquid spills. We use the same type of seal that is used on your furniture. We seal the nap side of a pile rug and both sides of a kilim or dhurrie.

At Behnam Service Center, we feel strongly that padding helps keeps a rug stable and in place on a surface, helps prevents you from tripping as well as prolonging the life of your rug. We provide padding for both hard surfaces and a special padding for rug-on-carpet surfaces. Please feel free to contact us for further information about padding.

Because of our years of experience in the fine hand-made rug business as well as being a participant in the industry today, we have the
expertise to appraise your rug. It is a good idea to have your hand-made rug appraise for insurance purposes just in case your rug is damaged or stolen. During the appraisal of
your rug, we take in to account its country of origin, size and shape, knots per square inch or centimeter, type and quality of the pile, weft and warp, design, its colors and type of dyes used, current market conditions for comparable rugs; and a general impression of your rug drawing from all of these factors. Handmade rugs are a commodity based upon availability, their uniqueness, and rarity, are the few factors to determine the Market Value of your rug. In the case of damage of your rug, the appraisal provided of your rug is the value before and after damage. A typewritten document will be processed with the description and current Market Value of your rug that you can pass along to your insurance firm.
